The State Of Our Open Threads - After Wisconsin

So, a decisive win over a ranked opponent at night doesn't come without a fuck here and there, and indeed, we did throw a few out there. That said, it was a pretty calm night relatively speaking, or more precisely, it was a lot calmer than our last encounter with Wisconsin in their place. No, we won't actually talk about the details of that game TOO much.

A few stats from 2017 Wisconsin, just for giggles:

 - 452 fucks

 - 168 shits

 - 82 damns

 - We sucked 71 times

  - We wanted someone fired 44 times

Now, let's contrast that to last night:

 - 124 fucks

 - 49 shits

 - 20 damns

 - We only sucked 13 times

 - Only 6 calls for a firing

I'll run with anecdotal evidence from my section as we took care of Wisconsin as well as evidence from a read of the thread late last night. Many of the fucks were fucks said in excitement, although Shea Patterson scrambling elicited some unkind fucks. The other not-so-kind ones had to do with the plays which we'll call "smartest man in the room" plays, and if you don't mind a little editorial comment, until we can execute those or absolutely need them, we can cut them the fuck out.

Shits followed a similar course - we were largely excited except when plays would suddenly go nowhere or when Joe Milton would come in at a moment no one expected for a snap that seemed to obliterate some good rhythm because why would you do that, Jim? Anyway, there were also some shits thrown at the offense in general, which a fair number of people cannot enjoy unless it is up on opponents by sums which can only be calculated easily by a Cray Computer. Again, such is the life of the reactionary fan.

The 13 instances of suck were almost exclusively directed at the offense and its occasional use of cute shit, and one or two of them were directed at Shea Patterson, who in the minds of some special fans - a fair number of whom post on Twitter - sucks unless he's perfect, and of course, no one is so by their standards, we all suck.

All in all, it was a Maryland-esque performance from the thread - the results are actually fairly similar. The overall efficiency was 2.97, with 456 tracked instances in total over 1,354 posts. Again, smaller threads usually coincide with home games, and 2.97 generally indicates a victory that did not come without stress, and despite the score, the Wisconsin win had its share of stress.

This coming weekend......well, I assume it will take a while to compile the results win or, well....that.
