Spring Game Info

Submitted by Yostbound and Down on

Got an email in my inbox this morning asking for an RSVP to the spring game, along with a quick survey (basically how many people are you bringing).

Here is the info from MGoBlue.com

  • Gates open at 10AM
  • Game will be on BTN, BTN2Go, and radio on 97.1 (I would assume 1050 as well) in SE Michigan. Which, you have no excuse not to be in Ann Arbor. If you'd rather listen from aways away one of their websites or mgoblue.com will have it.
  • There will be prize giveaways per the email I got, I would assume suggested donations would have some free swag associated with it as well, as in the past.

Less than a week away and I can't wait to see what the team looks like!

Edit: assume everyone knows this but admission is free.

Heading into town from Columbus with my wife that is 8 months pregnant (yes she is a buckeye).  Do you guys have any suggestions on parking?  We got a hotel for the night in AA so we are also looking for a nice place to go later that evening to watch the final four, any ideas? Also any suggestions on places to visit between the spring game and the final four? Thanks!!!

I usually park on a side street off Stadium Blvd a little west of Pioneer.  It's a short walk from the stadium and there shouldn't be a charge to park in front of someone's house.  Then you can walk back to your car and find a place to park downtown if you want to eat so you're not paying out the nose all day long.

Might be a long walk for the missus, but the side streets are where I prefer to park if I'm not tailgating at Pioneer or the golf course. You could drop her off somewhere near Stadium and Main and then park over there.

When I lived on the Northside sometimes I'd just take the bus down on game day, they have one that leaves from the Plymouth Road Park and Ride for pretty cheap. It's definitely not as fun for tailgating etc. but you get dropped off right at Crisler. They run the same shuttle back after the game. Have no idea if this will be going for the spring game though.

Edit: actually now that I think of it your hotel might have a shuttle.

Thank you guys for your advice.  I've been up there many times but it was always for a game and its been about 5 year and I wasn't with my pregnant wife so my motive was a bit different then lol. Back then I was parking in pioneer parking lot and tailgaiting.  Do you guys have any advice on a decent place to have dinner and hopefully watch sparty lose?

Stafford, Virginia, Friday. I've seen on the mgoblue.com pages (http://www.mgoblue.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/fbl-spring-game-2015.ht…) that Pioneer will be open for parking @ $20 for cars/$50 for RVs. The question is, will there be any shuttles running, like from Briarwood or anywhere else? I realize this is the Spring game, so chances are low -- it's not a season game after all -- but I am still curious. Thanks -- Go Blue!!!
