I hope he gets a real shot. He played in Newtown CT with one of my oldest friends's sons. A lot of local fans would love to see him succeed there.

Thought he might end up on the Jets and since there was talks of Saleh being interested in him in a Kyle Juszczyk role during the draft. Hope he finds success on the Pats

I remember when Bench was chosen to address the team, & he wanted to tell them that he & his roommate start each day off by making their bed & then get on to making the new day great. At the presentation, he wanted to speak from the heart & not prepare anything in advance. But what came out was that he starts off every day by making his bed. And then he froze... Drew an absolute blank & couldn’t speak. It had to be pretty awkward there for a while… Standing there in front of 100 guys who you just told that you start off each day by making your bed. But then the guys just cheered & mobbed him anyway.

I had the same idea during one of  my best man speeches.  Almost the same results.  The MC started the speeches off right as we all came in which was weird I was in line for a drink, totally threw me off my game or so I tell myself.  Happy ending I managed something mostly worthwhile and got the room laughing a bit.  Still wasn’t the best feeling.

Always thought that was the spot for him, I’ve posted before that he has a ton of similarities to their previous FB James develop who had to retire due to a neck injury he couldn’t shake.  The current fullback the pats have is an NFL intern silicon alley outreach guy from Germany who’s serviceable but haven’t seen any great plays from him.  My dollars go to Bench getting added to active roster when he digests the playbook which can be daunting in NE.

If I remember correctly, the Patriots already had the most former Michigan players of any NFL team. If Ben sticks that will put them even further in the lead.
