Update on Franz Wagner

I’m told Michigan’s admissions office received Wagner’s academic paperwork today. This DOES NOT mean he is officially committing/enrolling. However, if he wants to ultimately choose U-M, both sides need to be sure he’s academically qualified and eligible.

weird feel from this game today.  Could have been a lot different with clean catching and fielding, but also feel like they resigned to the fact they would score like two runs max. Oh well. LET’S RALLY

Well, we played not to lose.  Looked a little tight out there.  Tomorrow will tell whether it was the right strategy.

IDK.  We were up against arguably the best pitcher in college baseball.  I think Bakich pretty much knew we weren't going to score much.  That combined with putting out a pitching by committee lineup, almost guaranteed a loss.  Bakich is a strategist and he figured against that team, our best shot would be game 3.  Tough call on his part, but he knows much better than we.  Also, I think the team knew we weren't putting one of our best pitchers out there today and maybe that had some effect on them.  Either way, I like our chances tonight.  Go Blue!

Tomorrow will be better. Tonight we faced the best pitcher in college, booted the ball around, but kept it close. Kauffmann is better than what Vanderbilt has to throw at us, and we won’t play as bad in the field. Do it for the eight letters on your chests.
