My sincerest of condolences to this Marine's family. As a fellow former brother in arms, I know his bravery will not go unnoticed, regardless of the fact that it may have not been his girlfriend's kids he saved.

 

A word of caution to anyone who sees a go fund me for any military member's death. Most have group life insurance (SGLI) and hopefully he had more personally owned. But it sounds like to me that the go fund me referenced in the article is a scam, someone taking advantage of a serviceman's death to steal unsuspecting good-doers money. Beware...
