Percentage of snaps

I have heard several coaches throughout the years comment that a 2 QB system hurts the growth of QBs as their snaps with the 1st team get split up and so its harder to get experience and cohesion in practice with the other starters. Timing the WR routes, seeing better defenders, etc in practice. Well, with Threet being a viable option as the guy with the most experience and 2 young talented freshmen coming in... I am worried about having 3 guys split time in practice with the first team so that it could hold back the team's potential.

I doubt they would split training camp/fall practice snaps three ways. They didn't do it this year when they had three QBs learning the system so I don't see why they would next year. They're each going to get reps in spring practice, they'll have the summer 7v7 type stuff to separate themselves a little more and the coaching staff will probably take two weeks in August to determine the order of their top 3. and at that point if Threet or Sheridan can't establish themselves as the #1, after having two springs and an entire season to learn the system, they won't deserve time with the first team.
