Penn State Roll Call

Submitted by 931 S State on

First trip to State College tomorrow. Thanks to user VAWolverine for his recommendation a few weeks ago to purchase a parking pass via the Penn State athletic department, which was surprisingly easy.

As I'm packing up tonight, I'm trying to decide if we should spend the day tomorrow tailgating in one of the yellow lots or head into town and just go to a bar. Not at all familiar with the lay of the land and if it is a trek to get from parking to downtown to the stadium. Thoughts and opinions appreciated. Go Blue!

Park in a lot then walk into town. My brother and I will be at Cafe 210 West for lunch at noon. We will get a bite to eat and watch some noon games. Please feel free to join us. Downtown is active and fun when Wolverines invade!

You can park in the pasture across the street or the party lot just up the road towards JoPa's house either way it's a short walk to the stadium and a short walk down the hill to town. You'll pass a beer store on the way so that's a plus. The fans treated us pretty good the last time I was there in 2006. We took a motor home and spent the night after the game and dressed the JoPa statue up in Michigan garb the next morning of coarse this was before the news came out what an assclown JoPa was

Heading to Gameday in the AM. Then find a restaurant to watch the noon games and make my way in around 3:30 to tailgate and watch us steal one on the road!!!

Have fun to everyone going!

We went in 2015 and had an awesome time. Great environment. And for all the shit we give PSU fans, they were very nice and welcoming to us.

Will be there with a fellow Michigan fan. Two questions for the peanut gallery:

  1. We're planning to camp somewhere after the game. Is this a bad idea?
  2. Where is the best place to camp? We don't mind walking a little ways, but ideally we'd be in a spot where our tent doesn't get urinated/vomited on or vandalized.

First time for me too!  I'm here with my mom. We had to stay an hour outside State College though because all the hotels were booked. We're going to head over midday, grab a bite and then head to the game.
