OT: Why Reply To Every Thread

Seems lately their have been some time filler threads posted. They aren't everyone's cup of tea, but so many people feel the need to post an off topic dickhead comment. Why is there such a desire to be a dick to a fellow Michigan Fan? Why not just ignore the thread an post ona topic you have a decent opinion on. Their maybe people who are interested in the discussion, but once the jerks start posting they don't post for fear of the down votes. Just find it sad that fellow fans are such dicks to each other. I also find it sad that certain obsessive posters think they have some sort of ownership to the board because they post 20 times a day on every thread. You're no better then the guy who posts once a month.
