I've had some beverages after a month off, so there's a chance this gets bounced, but I don't care.

Brooksby just took out Karatsev in 5- next up... JOKER!

Opelka is currently up 2 sets to love on Bashalsivili.

But most of all. ROGERS! Took out Barty in 3 sets.

It may take some time, but the most-recent ATP rankings had 14 Americans ranked among the top 100 men with John Isner highest at 22. Ten of them are in their twenties.

Isner could drop in the rankings after losing in the opening round of the U. S. Open, despite winning the Atlanta Tournament in August.

A year ago, nine Americans were ranked among the top 100 men with Isner highest at 22. Six were in their twenties. LINK

In March, the USA was ranked fifth among all Davis Cup teams, behind France, Croatia, Spain and Belgium. LINK  When the USA team last played in March 2020, the singles players were Reilly Opelka, Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul; the now-retired Bryan brothers played doubles.

In the 18-team Davis Cup Finals draw this year (November 25 - December 5), the USA is grouped with Italy and Colombia with the matches to be played on Italy’s home courts in Turin.
