OT: Thoughts on the draft

Submitted by Never Lose Hoke on
I was wondering who everyone thought had the best draft, the worst draft, the dumbest pick, the best pick, and the biggest surprises of draft day.

Here are my thoughts:
Worst draft- Vikings
Best draft- lions or Bucs
Dumbest pick- Christian ponder
Best pick- Da'Quan Bowers
Biggest surprise- mouton in 2nd round

The draft is not the finish line to the offseason. I expect them to address the back 7 needs in free agency with some mid level signings, tulloch is almost a lock to sign with detroit, and they will certainly be in the running for a schwartz defense type cb. I can't think of any names off the top of my head, but cover 2 corners don't typically demand huge contracts, and it would make sense to sign with a team who has such an incredibly talented front line. They were going to address the other safety spot in free agency even before the draft, the safety crop this year for free agents is much better than this years draft class.

FU Yahoo.

ten things we learned from the draft:

"10. Appalachian State is still beating Michigan

On September 1, 2007, Appalachian State shocked the Michigan Wolverines (and the rest of the world) by beating them, 34-32. On April 30, 2011, Appalachian State (Daniel Kilgore(notes), Mark Legree(notes),D.J. Smith(notes)) shocked the Wolverines again (Jonas Mouton(notes), Steve Schilling(notes)) by beating them, 3-2, in draft picks. Some teams just have other teams' numbers."

Are the writers for Yahoo just stupid or ignorant?
