Michigan grads go to space. Motherfucking space. Not just one, either, but three at a time. In fucking space. Which pwns your ass. We send them up there and they sing our fight song and everyone else sucks our hairy cheeks while we stare at you puny mortals from--get this--the furthest reaches of fucking space. Because being an astronauts is one of the few jobs where a person not only has to be a badass willing to be strapped to the top of an enormous rocket and shot into--yep--outer-motherfucking-space, but you have to be juggling-equations, balls-out brilliant to even think about doing it. That's us. We rule, you suck, and that's all too sad, isn't it?
Phenomenal
My fave part of that writeup:
come here, and you won't be poor, ugly, and miserable like people who go elsewhere. (Cough cough Michigan State cough cough.)
May the Schwartz be with you!
This ad should always be in use. We can come up with other ads, but this needs to stay in the rotation.
This is the Space Bitches Space--a space for all you space bitches! So go ahead and share your space...stuff, space bitch!!
The "Space, Bitches. Space." shirt is one of my favorites in the MGoCollection here. It certainly starts a conversation or two when I am not in the state and I am outdoors wearing it.
I can't help but notice your proper use of punctuation there. Makes a big difference...
Pshh who cares! The really cool space travel happened last week when some lizard brains went a fraction of the way to where humans went 50 years ago.
As great as Apollo 15 was it wasn't the first all Michigan space flight. That honor goes to Gemini 4. Crewed by Jim McDivitt and Ed White. These two actually went to Michigan together in their pre-astronaut days and lived on the same street.
Gemini 4 was notable in that it set a then record for duration @ 4 days and featured Ed White making the first American Space walk.
Sadly White died in the tragic Apollo 1 fire. McDivitt went on to command Apollo 9 with Dave Scott serving as CMP.
And McDivitt / White Plaza is at the corner of S. University & E. University on campus.
Go Blue.
