OT - Probert's Funeral

Submitted by JeepinBen on

There have been plenty of posts about his life and career, but I hadn't seen this yet... His coffin was delivered to the funeral...

On a motorcycle side car.

Always the bad-ass, he will be missed.

The Cox fight and the fight against Marty McSorley when McSorley was with the Penguins in 1994 are my 2 favourite.  Marty & Probie just teed off on each other for over a minute and a half and when they were done they gave each other a little tap on the forehead.  You can see in the fight a couple of times how much they respected each other - when McSorely's jersey was coming off and when McSorley went down to a knee and Probert helped him back up.  Two of the great fighters of their time and they respected each other to the end.  Great memories.  I sure am gald that the Wings had #24 patrolling the wings to protect Yzerman.
