OT: Outback, Capital One, and Rose Bowl open thread

As I type this, it's 24-0 for Iowa in the bottom of the third quarter. Hawkeyes in control... Michigan State has not collapsed against Georgia yet. That's good

Go Iowa!!! That was some easy money, if they can hold on the final 11 mins. UGA giving MSU a lot of breaks. A couple TOs and now a roughing penalty....MSU has to start taking advantage of those.

For showing that not all B10 teams suck. Or should I say thank you to the SC turnover loving God? Note to MSU: You might want to wrap moreno up. Note to Penn State: Please beat the sh** out of USC and wipe that smurk off of Coach Pete's face!(he is a good coach though)

Georgia seems to be trying to out-Sparty Sparty (two turnovers, a dumb roughing-the-passer penalty). Not sure if they can pull that off for four quarters, though.

First your team executes terribly on a fake punt. Now after UGA gifts you a TO and a roughing penalty, your teams executes a rotten gadget play, then a TFL. Come on....quit being so cute....UGA is not that good on D. Play your effing game.

Game may be over, but the total is not. Yet. Total was 42. Another TD hits it. I have no play on it, but lot of folks still on edge. I know a few people who unloaded on the under.

Hopefully the B10 teams playing today will pull off some wins to shut up the B10 nay sayers! Little Brother really needs to capitalize on the TO and field position

Dude, the Georgia defense is killing the Sparty O-line, much like ours did. They are blitzing away without a care in the world

MSU has 15 plays in UGA territory for 11 yards!! First down sack.....ugh. They cant get out of their own way, even with Georgia trying to give them the game.

UGA is gift wrapping this sucker. C'mon Sparty, accept the gift....make them pay. I cant shake the feeling UGA dominates the 2nd H, so they better cash in. UGA will get their act together in the lockerrom.

Somehow, when MSU plays a bowl against an SEC school, that school gets sucked into playing MSU's game. Remember the Bobby Williams bowl when Florida and MSU were brawling repeatedly and guys were getting ejected?

Hoyer is awful. Two man flat/curl combo, gets the flat open, probably for a first, but he's more interested in tapping the ball. Meanwhile Ringer totally whiffs on a block that the LT also whiffed on and SACK. Fabulous.

How many SEC schools have fight songs based on "The Battle Hymn of the Republic"? It's weird. No wonder these guys obsess about the Civil War.

Must love this picture at the Rose Bowl. Its not the Winged helmets, but the two colors match up great. As for the game so far.....PSU, quit killing yourself! Dang, USC does not need any help!

Musburger is a big USC fan. I thought he went to USC. Does anyone know? It says that he went to NW school of Journalism- according to Wikki. The reason I bring it up is that his comments seem to favor USC most of the time

Until USC plays a bowl game outside of Cali, I don't want to hear how "vaunted" they are. PSU has looked bad this game at times, but I still think they have a chance if they can keep the game manageable (w/in 10 points) at halftime.

Aw come on, USC is the only team in BCS era football that actually goes anywhere and will play anyone, and still beats them. I usually complain about the southern and SW teams getting homefield during bowl games, but USC is the last team I'll complain about b/c they actually do go places and schedule BCS teams away from home. That's a lot more than other top teams like OU can boast. Plus, it's not like they are beating teams in the Rose Bowl by a TD, they are absolutely bitchslapping teams. No homefield gives a team a 20+pt adv.
