OT: Mike Florio Rips Old Man Ford & Lewand

Mitch Albom did a pretty good job ripping Ford Monday as well. I stopped following the Lions in 1995 and I can honestly say I do not miss rooting for them. They are the only Michigan pro sports team I have no passion for. Fans should stop buying tickets and reporters should stop writing about them until they start to win. They do not deserve space in a newspaper. Reporters have written the same sad columns about them ten different times anyway...just the names and the seasons change.

I'm not going to get wrapped up in Ford's statement just yet. For all the shittiness he brings as an owner, one cannot dispute that he's not an asshole who would publicly fire or demote anyone. I'm going to wait and see if he decides to just stick with Mayhew and Lewand before I blow a gasket. If he does keep them in their current roles, I can't see why anyone would renew their season tickets.
