George Kell was the announcer along with, of course, Al Kaline. In particular, I have this memory from that year of the Tigers beating the Yankees 8-3 at Yankee Stadium. I'll never forget Kell rattling off the line "And another base hit" time after time late in the game. Sure enough, this is the box score I found from that game, confirming my memory: http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/NYA/NYA199509240.shtml Anyhow, R.I.P. Mr. Kell. You will be missed. A true Tiger till the end!

My early Tiger memories were Kell, Kaline, and those animations that they played at the end of a broadcast: a growling tiger if they won, a hurt tiger with an ice bag on its head if they lost.

the time I started watching baseball. However, my Grandma always told me about that. How cool would it be if they brought back those old-school graphics? I would absolutely LOVE to see that.
