I'm sad to see this. My first memories of baseball were watching Tigers games on UPN50 back in 1995 (I was 8). George Kell was the announcer along with, of course, Al Kaline. In particular, I have this memory from that year of the Tigers beating the Yankees 8-3 at Yankee Stadium. I'll never forget Kell rattling off the line "And another base hit" time after time late in the game. Sure enough, this is the box score I found from that game, confirming my memory:

Anyhow, R.I.P. Mr. Kell. You will be missed. A true Tiger till the end!
My early Tiger memories were Kell, Kaline, and those animations that they played at the end of a broadcast: a growling tiger if they won, a hurt tiger with an ice bag on its head if they lost.
the time I started watching baseball. However, my Grandma always told me about that. How cool would it be if they brought back those old-school graphics? I would absolutely LOVE to see that.
Those animations were a WDIV thing. Sadly, they were dropped when UPN50 got the rights to Tiger broadcasts sometime in the early '90s. I miss them.
If anybody can find a link to those animations, please post them on here!
