OT: Football Ticket Fiasco (or how I re-learned that I'm an idiot)

Submitted by bouje on
So I was sitting in my apartment and for some reason I got worried because I generally don't do will call for tickets and thus hadn't received the tickets in the mail yet.

I'm looking through my statements, I'm doing a search through my inbox and nothing is coming up. To make a long story short it took me a good 30 minutes to finally find the tickets in my bank statement to confirm that I did in fact buy tickets.

I know I could have just scalped tickets, or got some from friends, or even bought them online for UConn, Wisco, Illinois (and the really terrible games) but this would have been the first time since before becoming a student in 2003 that I didn't have season tickets.

I realize that I only have a few passions in my life and Michigan football just so happens to be it. It doesn't matter if we go undefeated or if we lose every game I just love going to games with my dad (most of the time) or friends that I take. There is no other place that I'd rather be on a Saturday afternoon than at the Big House watching those maize and blue wings streak across the field.

I know that there's a lot of uncertainty this year in terms of the team (please don't be terrible defense). But this is my happy place, my shrine and no one can ever take that away (unless I forget to buy season tickets like an idiot).
