OT: Fantasy Premier League 22/23

Submitted by wingedsig on July 24th, 2022 at 5:02 PM

Another year, another season! Really fun one last year, and had a bunch of y'all join, so I'm once again opening up invitations for Fantasy Premier League!

Two Options:

  1. Standard FPL: Pick players with a set budget, and adjust as the season goes along. Most points at the end wins. JOIN HERE (league code: kbgtn9)
  2. FPL Draft: More resembling NFL Fantasy. We'll be holding the Draft on Sunday 7/31 at 8PM ET. You play another single team each week, and the winner earns 3 points (draw = 1 each). JOIN HERE (league code: l80z9h)

No buy-in to join (until we get a set & active group of participants, year in and year out). And if you want to look into a buy-in league, DM me your email address, and I'll put together a list for next year (or this year, if we have enough).

Happy New Season!

Honest question, I'm a surface fan of the Premier League, as in I know the big names (Kane, Son, Salah, Haaland) on the big teams (City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Leicester cause of that amazing run years ago) ...

Does having a newb like that ruin the league for everyone else??  Are there enough draft guides and tools to figure out  what the he'll I'm doing?

Definitely doesn't ruin the league, as long as you're checking your lineup weekly and doing your best to stay in it! There's a great overview of rules on the FPL site, and a google search will help you find strategic advice as well.

FPL is probably the best way to learn the ins and outs of the league (and the international footballing world) IMO. And it's just really fun + gives you rooting interest if you don't already have a team.

I saw this morning that Pogba is already hurt at Juventus. He had his moments just seemed disinterested half (or more) of the time. I really like Eriksen. Smart and steady. Ten Had has his work cut out for him but a coaching friend of mine really likes his system so I'm optimistic.
