OT: Fantasy Football Rookie Draft

Nothing is more exciting than hearing about someone else's fantasy football Team, wins, losses, etc.

But heading into the real draft I am sure I am not the only one with a dynasty league rookie draft coming up (ours is this Sunday).  So I figure a little offseason discussion on who you think will surprise or disappoint might be fun and interesting.  I like to hear all the "expert" opinions out there to shape my draft board.  Plus Nico will most definitely be taken in most of these drafts somewhere, so it will be another chance to opine on our highest rated O draft prospect.

Humblebrag, I have a late pick so this won't matter much to me, but I would steer clear of Trevor Lawrence and I am not sold yet on the flavor of the day Javonte Williams as the best back.

As for Nico, his skill set translates well to red zone targets and given the right team picking him, he could see his stock rise above his current projection. I will give him strong consideration for my second round pick.  Much higher than DPJ went and the highest UM  player since I joined my current league.

Maybe this is the norm for dynasty leagues but why do you guys draft before the actual NFL draft where you get to find out what teams these guys actually go to? Seems weird to me because the value of a guy can change a lot depending on where he lands.

Like Zach Wilson could end up being a great QB but do you really trust the Jets to get him to that level. I sure don't. Whereas if he fell to 3 and SF picked him up, I would trust Kyle Shanahan a lot more with Zach Wilson's development.

Obviously Nico has a ton of upside no matter where he is picked both fantasy and real draft. So does Chris Evans if he goes to the right teams and is used in the right role (similar to how James White has been used in New England) that makes all us Michigan fans grumble about the lack of targets he got out of the backfield in college.

But it really hard for any of us to say at this point in time.

I love fantasy football and rookie drafts, but how can you possibly do this before the NFL draft.  Makes no sense.  Especially outside the first 6-7 picks which are pretty set outside of maybe the order...assuming a 1 QB league.  Would you want to draft some receiver at 9 and then have them go to Baltimore?  No, that would drop that receiver down.

A sleeper I like is Terrace Marshall.  He had some medical issue pop up, but personally I think he's just about as good as his old teammates Jefferson and Chase.
