At first, I thought the letter would have been the one where they expected him to pick Cleveland - something along the lines of:

Dear King,

Thank you for not tanking the value of my team.  I will do everything in my power to continue to worship at the feet of Lebron...such as building our practice facility at a place convenient to no one but  you, paying Boobie Gibson $5 million a year, letting your entourage have roles within the organization, and generally just placating you like no one else, not even my wife.  You are the god of hellfire and together we will rule the NBA.

Sincerely,

Dan Gilbert

P.S. - remember your new deal includes lots of free chips for your flunkies once the casinos are built.

I want to paraphrase something Terry Foster (I know, I know, but it is a great point IMO that I haven't seen brought up in any other thread), said on the radio show yesterday:

Dan Gilbert is the same guy that tried to get Tom Izzo to do to the state of Michigan and MSU what he is so pissed that LeBron just did to Ohio and the Cavs. He wanted Izzo to turn his back on the state he was born and raised, and the school that gave him his start and adulation of 15 years to jump at the chance to better his situation with another team. He is the LAST person that should be calling someone a traitor. Just because Izzo didn't leave, doesn't make his hypocrisy any less egregious.

I am no fan of the LeBrocalypse or how he stabbed the Cleveland fans in the back by not merely thanking them for their support, but for Gilbert to claim LeBron is Benedict Arnold when he tried to get Tom Izzo to do the same thing is joke. This whole scenario is ridiculous and befitting the state of Ohio.
