RIP JJ
This is truly sad news. He was one of the best defensive minds in the sport. He will be remembered for a long time to come!
I can't believe this is ESPN's third lead story after Favre and Burress.
This is very sad. He was such an excellent DC. As a Cowboys fan, I know I hated to see his defenses...prayers for his family.
He truly was a defensive guru
This sucks...I loved how the Eagles played defense.
This is terribly sad news. He was a genius, he bailed Andy Reid out on many occasions. RIP.
that sucks. I don't like the Eagles, but his blitz schemes were fun to watch.
Jim Johnson was a year away from being a teammate of Lloyd Carr at Missouri. I'm sure they knew each other.
What was the cause of death? Wasn't he on leave for cancer treatment?
He had a tumor on his spine, and he was also treated for melanoma back in 2001. Don't know if the two cases were related in any way, but it is sad news nonetheless. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family...
