OT: Brady Will Be Running For His Life

Submitted by Webber's Pimp on

So the New York Giants just announced they have signed Nate Solder to a 4 year $60M contract thereby making him the highest paid tackle in the league. Allot of people have appaluded Bill Bellichick and the Patriots front office for their "financial descipline" and their ruthlessness in letting Solder (and others) walk. But really what is the point? Tom Brady's playing window at peak level  is probably another 2 or 3 years. Why not pay Solder above the team's projected salary if it means securing Brady's blind sidefor the next 2 or 3 seasons. I can understand not keeping all of your free agents in today's salary cap era. To me, letting Solder walk makes no sense. Tom Brady has covered up for allot of Bellichick's questionable decisions over the years. It really helps when you have the best QB of all time making everybody look like geniuses. But all of that is about to end now that Solder, Lewis, Butler, and Amendola are gone.
