On a somewhat related note, I was in AA today visiting the Museum of Natural History. Pretty fascinating place for those who haven't been..

It was a great special - it actually aired earlier this year, but it is worth watching. Here's the meeting with "Jasper" for those that want a small preview:

There's a Wolverine at the Detroit Zoo, but it seems like he's never out and about. After not seeing him on several visits to the zoo over a period of about 5 years, finally spotted the Wolverine in the wide open.... aggressively grooming his nether regions.
Hey, if you could do it you'd probably never leave the house.

I'm at the zoo a lot, and they're both (there's two) ALWAYS romping about.
I'm usually there when they first open in the am. You can also ask when they usually get fed to make sure theyre active. Erolled my daughter in a few Zoo Camps this summer and spent hours with them, watched them kill & play keep-away with a chipmunk for 45min.
The anteaters can get pretty entertaining to when theyre feeling playful.

Guess it's my bad luck he never was out when I was there. I just thought it was hilarious that when I do finally get to see a Wolverine, he's busy goin' solo.

I honestly didn't know that much about wolverines until I watched a similar PBS documentary, Wolverine: Chasing the Phantom, last year. The wolverine is pure awesomeness. It can cover amazing distances in all types of weather, eats anything, can kill most animals, is likely polygamous and lives about 12 years.
