Wants a signed jock strap. I don't suppose there are any of those. Guess I, er my friend, needs to watch less football and take care of the homefront ... nah!

Though you joke, it made me think about trying to explain to the powers that be at the University why it would be ok to auction off a jockstrap. Used or otherwise.

Used and unwashed certainly. For microbial research purposes, makes perfect sense. "So Mark, there is a load of useful research potential and the bidders are clamoring for new specimens. You're not anti-science are you?" "Sell the jock straps!"

You'd need a larger hole and make sure it's the low expansion stuff.
There must be some other injectable solutiuon that can be used with a smaller needle however..

To have the aged bladders replaced. The manufacturers typically have a very small team that performs this sort of repair regularly. It's likely this will negatively affect trade value, however, there are so many signed balls out there that I wouldn't concern myself - keep the old bladder just in case. But at least your prize will look great on display if it can hold air. You should be able to find the replacement bladder information online.
