I look forward to a grit-filled evening...
The MGoHallofFame?
i can mention it to them. I saw brian posted the hockey candidates w/ hunwick in there... are the basketball candidates up to? (and if so, did novak make the cut?)
Because Brian sounded horrified by the prospect that someone actually in it might see his (self-perceived) rinky-dink HoF. But actually, I think most would get a kick out of it.
And with so few basketball prospects in the MGoBlog era, I have no doubt that deserving or not, not only is Novak a nominee, he's probably the only basketball lock to make it on the first ballot.
FYI - my wife and I were in NYC at the same time as the dreaded Ohio NCAA game this year (opening of Death of a Salesman) and went to Proffesor Thom's to watch the game. That bar is simply amazing with the place absolutely JAMMED with Michigan fans from stem to stern. The owners of the bar opened up a seat for my wife (the place was completely packed) and even bought us a couple of beers. We had a fantastic time (game notwithstanding) with our fellow Michigan alums and fans. I would've sworn I was back on campus the place was that "blue".
Can handle all that grit and sports IQ
Would love to go (actually work pretty close to there), but will unfortunately miss the grittiest alumni event ever!
I so, so much wanted to go to this, even if only to add to the body count so you'd know how much you're loved from afar. About the only thing that could keep me away is a big big night for one of my best friends. And for some reason March 11 is a big night for things I really want to do. So a virtual thanks for all you've done for us fans, for the great stories you've contributed to the M athletics lore, and best wishes for your future(s), which, judging from your recent past, should continue to make us all proud.
we'll be passing on much of the same sentiment and well wishes on behalf of the club/alums ....
And since you didn't notice I typed March 11 (which I probably had free), it doesn't matter that I can no longer edit.
