....very cool story. For all the crap Thomas has taken over the years, at his core, he's an honorable guy and this is a quite astounding story. I recall him being interviewed by Salters at the USC at Nebraska beatdown in, I think, 2007. Very humble guy, generous with his time, quick sense of humor. +1 to him.

Let's just hope that they didn't get some Diet Cokes from in-flight service! It's interesting. Even though we may be put off by some people's past slip-ups or disagree with their politics, they can be very honorable one-on-one. I think that that is so cool to voluntarily speak at a HS like that. Justice Thomas's wiki page mentions that he's a big Huskers fan. I didn't realize he was also a Rivals/Scout reader. Interesting story: I am no Jesse Jackson fan at all. He's an obnoxious rabble rouser. One classless thing he did was famously call NYC "Hymie town"--rather anti-Semitic. A friend of mine from UM (who is actually Jewish) told me a story about how when he and sister were very young, they met him on a plane. He was so charmed by them that he let them sit in first class with him or something like that. She drew a picture for JJ. He was very kind to them. He might have even known they were Jewish based on something they might have told him or their last name, I forget.
