My House of Champions
I live in SEC country (Atlanta), and I finally got to claim that I live in a House of Champions! I graduated from Michigan with an engineering degree in 1983 and then an MBA in 1989! I married a fantastic lady born and raised in Tuscaloosa and graduated from Alabama’s law school. The story gets even more interesting because my only child attends the University of Georgia.
Thank you Wolverines, for letting me join the party! It has been rough living with them and their multiple championships! Go Blue, and let's add some more trophies! 🏆
Note: my wife and I went to the Rose Bowl game this year and she wore her Bama scarf but rooted for Michigan this one time because she loves me and felt a lot of pity!

Pity? I wasn't even aware they had laws in Alabama....

The University of Alabama's law school actually punches above its weight in terms of its number of graduates who go on to become federal judges or federal judicial clerks. A number of notable judges went there, including former SCOTUS justice Hugo Black. I think they even have a SCOTUS clerk in the current term.
It's a fine institution. Probably one of the best law schools in the South.

Very cool! I do remember seeing one couple where the husband was decked out in Michigan gear and the wife was wearing 'Bama gear. Maybe that was you...?

Congratulations! But did you not count the 1997 Crown?

Good point, but I wasn't married and had no children then—more of a recent playoff dominance instead of “ancient” history. 😃
