Michigan at 5-7 overall and 3-5 in the Big Ten. I don't see that happening...but I can see how that could happen. My guess as to their thought process:
Wins:Miami, Toledo, Purdue, Minnesota, NW
Losses: Utah, ND, Wisc, Ill, PSU, MSU, OSU
Again, a lot would have to go wrong for that to happen, but I can envision scenarios where any of those 7 teams could beat us. Someone at SI thinks that worst case will happen, apparently. Hence the 54 ranking from last week's overall article.

Well, it would really suck if we lost all 7 of those games. I can see the prediction of an Autoloss to OSU and maybe Wisconsin, but giving us 0 chance to win against ND, Utah, PSU, MSU, and Ill? I think we can take at least 2 of the 5...

Sports Illustrated is a garbage publication and always has inane picks. I do not anticipate that UM will be world-beaters, but 5-7 seems overly pessimistic.
