would really like to see the Pistons package their pick with Drummond or Jackson and get them out of town, for really anybody and any other contracts. I'm not sure that the pick is enticing enough for that or that the contracts are remotely movable, pretty sure they aren't. I could not believe they signed Drummond to that contract and knew at the time that it was a big-time, long-term mistake. Now they are in fringe-playoff purgatory without the ability to go shopping for anything nor to reload through really high draft picks.
Mike Valenti often sounds like a fool when he says that certain teams need to intentionally "tank." With the Pistons current roster and salary situation that really is all they can do if they want to be anything but what they are right now for the next six years. But with the fact that they are moving into a new arena there is going to be pressure for them to be somewhat competitive to sell tickets making the above formula impossible. That really is a hot mess.
Yes. I'd love to relive that heartbreaking game. Sign me the hell up.
I don't know, I didn't find Michigan's win over Louisville in the round of 32 heartbreaking...different strokes I guess.
Oh damn. Sorry. I didn't see the 2017. All I saw was Michigan Louisville and the first thing I thought of was that game I'd love to forget ever happened.
is a difficult game to watch, very difficult. I bit the bullet and did it though, about a year ago. While deeply painful, it is a really great college basketball game. Most Michigan fans remember Albrecht and then Hancock, but the back and forth affair in the second half is quite a marvel. Burke has like three And 1s with incredible finishes. Hardaway has a Jordan dunk over all of Louisville's team and GR 3 hits some clutch threes. We got a bad whistle but for the most part we just could not get stops, some of that due to Louisville playing out of their mind.
It's the 2017 game, not the NC game. This one has a happy ending.
And who doesn't love a happy ending, right?
I was thinking the same thing...it still hurts man
Louisville lost both of the last two games vs. Michigan.
It's just that Michigan didn't win one of them.
/ Hangs head and cries. Curses 2013 shite refs. /
Michigan won 73-69. Yep, we beat the #2 seed. Woot!
Heartbreak over win?
Sounds like something Ty Butterfield would say
Maizen was heartbroken.
In the tournament against guys already in the HOF (Pitino, Boeheim, Self). Quite remarkable. Why would anyone in their right mind want him fired still
