Didn't want to start a new item for other regionals, but the Big Ten is struggling outside of Seattle. Groenewegen went 8 2/3 innings without walking anyone, but her first walk was a walk-off walk against 16th seed Alabama. The Gopher bats were completely silent in a 1-0 loss.

Probably. But the umpire was squeezing both of them in extra innings. It's too bad it had to end that way. Meanwhile, Longwood (4th in their regional) eliminated Ohio State surprisingly easily. I hate that the seeding committee (should be spelled SECding) is looking justified so far in downgrading the Big Ten. Minnesota was actually ranked #1 in the latest coach poll, and didn't get to host. I hope they come back. Groenewegen didn't have to throw that many pitches, but the Tide did have some good swings. Their top pitcher, Osorio, may wear down.
