Softball seems to have hit its stride after a rough start to the big ten season. Baseball is back on track and hopefully can find something with its pitching.

Softball remains solid but Northwestern begs to differ with the Wolverines hitting their stride.

One well-pitched game from baseball does not make a "track". There is a lot of variability in hitting, which is this team's strength, but an in-season pitching renaissance is a rare thing. Good luck to our boys.

Both softball and baseball won today.

Baseball won 8-2...got out-hit 10 to 8...so good/timely/clutch hitting...also 7 walks to only  4 strikeouts. Well pitched game with 13 strikeouts to 1 walk!

The softball team allowed just nine hits in three games against Penn State, but lost 3-2 today as two of the three hits Alex Storako allowed left the ballpark. She also had 17 strikeouts. Quick BABIP calculation: 1 non-HR hit, four non-K outs in seven innings... .200.

Freshman Annabelle Widra hit her first collegiate home run. She had been absent from the lineup for a while after an excellent start. She hasn't pitched in a long time, though, and was doing quite well early on. Hopefully not an injury concern.

Michigan is 4-5 in the Big Ten, and probably out of the running for the regular-season title.
