nj has good athletes, theres some decent sized population centers scattered across north jersey.  and central and south produce a few players each year as well.  the state prob has more talent than michigan any given year.  

and rutgers always seems to find decent athletes to develop on D.  i remember checking out the patriots secondary and they had like 2 draft picks from rutgers as well as 2-3 unsigned FA's at one point (though now they may only have 1-2).  great place for jimbo to look
