I have nothing but respect for the guy...to try and gut it out in the NBA while battling cancer. Dude has the utmost respect from me. he took all kinds of crap from writers and such for beign a "bust" but at least there is a damn good reason the guy couldn't live up to expectations and he still went out there and gave it all he had and did not say a word to anyone.

Takes one heck of a guy to take that kinda beating from the writers and let it be known why he was struggling.

Were hard to hate. Yeah, I hated the uniforms, but the Resperts and Steve Smths of the world were pretty good guys and players. There were a few exceptions, and there were a slew of white big men who had watched too much Laimbeer flop videos, but they weren't detestable, like their football counterparts. From Blake Ezor to Charles Rodgers, it's easy to dislike the football guys.

THANK YOU, WH!

Great watch. You can't help but be struck by how higher quality the level of hoops was in the college game back then compared to today. The exhibition of talent out there made it look closer to an NBA game of today than most of the Big Ten games I see now.

It was reminiscent of the Duke game earlier that year - except this time we pulled it out in OT.

Very strange to see our guys in white shoes (and MSU's in black shoes).
