Michigan #1 in raiding Florida for talent
Believe it or not, but our crappy 3-9 football team with it's foul mouthed, non family orientated head coach was the #1 non Florida school in picking up Florida talent. Pretty lousy, huh?
read about it here before they make it premium

I was reading Stew Mandel who said that Purdue was getting 13 out of their 18 commits from Florida, which is a huge number...but more likely lower rated kids...still good for them.

Indeed, they have a solid mix of 2/3 star talent with one 4 star from Florida (6**, 6***, 1****).

We recently gave an offer to 2010 recruit Tailer Jones from Gainesville FL. Id love to grab a kid out of the UF backyard. Although hes also got offers from Alabama, OSU, South Carolina, UNC, Miami, Mississippi, etc. So its a long shot, but it makes me smile on the inside to think about

Imagine what will happen if we actually start winning while playing a really exciting style of football.
BTW...Urban Cryer is a douche.

This article echoes RR's assertion that Smith is extremely underrated and could make an impact this fall.

Urban Meyer was the first name on my wish list when UM was scrambling to fill the HC position.
A lot of people don't like him, but that is because he has put together a great program at UF. He is the kind of coach you hate when he is somewhere else, but love when he is YOUR coach.
I still laugh, though, that he was so grossly outcoached by dinosaur Lloyd Carr in Carr's last game. Meyer kept basing decisions on Carr's probability charts and never seemed to realize that Carr was going to do the opposite of what he had been doing for ten years for the entire game. Meyer never adjusted to it. It was as if he didn't belive Carr would have the stones to do it again and again, and he did.
I think I need to watch it yet again tomorrow and think of what will happen when the much less predictable RR gets his roster straightened out. And I really do think 9-3 is possible next year.

flordia kids, I know Ricardo is already committed (2010). But does UM have offers out to any Pahokee kids for the 2010 class? Are there any kids to watch out for?

DeJoshua Johnson already has an offer from us. He's a WR. He's already got offers from Florida's Big Three, too.
