Men's lacrosse takes on the #1 Maryland Terrapins at 12PM today at the State Street facility. I had heard that they initially moved the game so it wouldn't conflict with the spring game but I guess that was not the case. The game will be on BTN+ so it will probably be pretty hard to find. There's also a big alumni event going on today and alumni from every era of the club program will be in attendance.

At 8-0, Maryland is the unanimous #1 team in the country after demolishing second-ranked defending national champs Virginia. They're pretty incredible. Running the table and winning the NCAA tournament is a legitimate a possibility for the Terps. They're in the top 10 in basically every statistical category.

Michigan has never beaten Maryland and they'll certainly have their work cut out for them today. If they can clean up the turnovers that have been plaguing them lately and generate some offense, maybe they'll have a chance. GO BLUE!!

The men started 7-0 but have dropped their last three to Harvard, Notre Dame and Hopkins. Not bad losses but I thought they did not play particularly well and they were all winnable games. I thought that if they could take one of two vs Harvard and ND and then won 3 games in the conference, they could probably get into the tournament. But, that's looking precarious now.

Just glancing at the ladies' schedule, it looks like they're in better shape.  They're ranked #13 and have already recorded good wins over ND and Hopkins.  They play USC tomorrow and it looks like if they win a few more games down the stretch, they'll find themselves in the tournament. (Although, don't quote me on that because I don't really follow the women's team. I feel bad for not following the program and posting about them, I'll try more going forward.)

20-12 Maryland, final. Hey - Michigan did better than Virginia at least! But, that score was kind of expected. Now they have to set their sights on getting some wins in conference play.  They get their chance on Friday when they go to Penn State which is the most winnable remaining game on the schedule.  GO BLUE!
