M wrestlers at US Open
Mason Parris lived up to his 4 seed and won his first 3 freestyle matches before falling in the semifinals to Tokyo Olympics Gold Medal winner Gable Steveson 12-1. Steveson is pausing his WWE career to make another worlds and Olympic team.
Former Michigan HWT Adam Coon, who tried out for the Titans as an OL before returning to the mat, has made the Greco Roman finals as a 3 seed.
In one of the biggest upsets of the tournament, former M star, #1 seed, and defending US national champion Alec Pantaleo was defeated in an early round.
Any other grapplers or recruits/commits I am missing?
Steveson is one of the best HW in the history of the sport.
12-1 against Mason, the undefeated NCAA Champion. Wow.
I feel for Parris. But Steveson is the best heavyweight wrestler in the world. Any idea what their post match conversation was?
The one year of Nick Suriano. Believe he's in the finals, but won't get a highly anticipated match against Spencer Lee due to Lee's withdrawal.
Also thought I saw where an incoming freshman had a surprise pin over an Olympian in Greco-Roman. I'll try to dig that up and post the highlight

I haven't followed recruiting for wrestling, but Bloodround mentioned Joel Adams will be in Ann Arbor next year.
Pantsleo and Parris both ended up getting 3rd.
