M Softball Team with 2 more wins - move to 7-0 on the season!
For those that weren't aware, the Michigan Women's Softball team is playing down in Chapel Hill this weekend in a part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. They have two games each against Louisville and North Carolina this weekend, one against each today and again tomorrow.
The team moved to 7-0 after a 6-2 win over Louisville in the first game and a 4-3 win against #25th ranked North Carolina. The latter game was tied until the 7th when Michigan scored in the top of the inning and shut them out to end the game.
With it's opening 5-0 weekend in Tampa last week, the women rose in the rankings this week from their preseason ranking of 14th all the way up to 8th place and with a good showing tomorrow, they could rise even higher.
Fantastic start to the season for the ladies in Maize and Blue!

These were two Big Wins against quality opponents that will help our SOS long term ..If we can sweep them MAN that would be great..the NC games are true road games so thats big there
