"living nightmare"- Fans taking it upon themselves to do the recruiting
This is my first post so please bear with me.
This is something that has been brought up a few times over the past couple of weeks. Things like Facebook and Twitter have become a recruits worst nightmare. Hundreds of fans from each of the athletes potential college try to sway the kid into choosing their school.
After reading the article, I did a little research. Michigan fans are no where near innocent in this department. These are quotes from Dallas Crawford's facebook. Keep in mind that this started when Dallas was still a Michigan commit.
Dallas-"Blake Countess is not good at all"
Mike Decker- "s that why the decommit?? afraid someone "not that good" will play over u?? Go Blue Blake!!!"
Mike Decker- "yeah Miami is a better fit...we want MICHIGAN MEN..not miami bound babies"
Dallas then went on to say in a status- "If u dont have anything positive to say please dont comment on my status.. 99% of the michigan fans are great but its that 1% that are just stupid.."
This is something I find disgusting. There are literally hundreds of Michigan fan's writing "GoBlue, Go Blue, Go Blue" on these kids walls and twitters. It's one thing if you know the guy personally, It's a complete other thing if you saw his name on here or rivals and decided to add him. I have seen tons of fans on Dee Hart, Darian Coopers, Justice Hayes, and Dallas Crawford's facebook/twitter.
This has got to stop! If any of you know or see someone doing this, please send them a message to stop. This is ONLY hurting our relationship with recruits.
