Let's rebuild the house

I can visualize 10 years of RR as a coach for Michigan. I can visualize 20 years if you really want to know. I can see him sitting at Detroit Metro waiting to board a plane(probably to some po dunk village in Florida) and seeing one of the winningest coaches in the Big Ten and a true Michigan Man. Whatever a Michigan Man is. To me, there are those who add to a tradition and those who take from it. And I think that happens at every level. From the fan, to the players, up through the coaching staff and onto the boosters and admin types. We all either get on board to help or we get on board to be catered to. As we turned the page from LC to RR we invited change with the understanding that change takes time. We asked an outsider to become part of our reality. To not simulate but to embody. And in doing that men who thought they embodied the Michigan Man mentality came to the realization that they were really only there to take rather than to add to the mystique. From sports writers to disc jockeys, people kicked a team in transition. That's the human thing to do. To antagonize. Going forward you need to make room in your hearts and minds for a coaching staff to step into what we embody. You can't learn Michigan overnight and who would want to. You can't replace Lloyd, Gary, and Bo. And who would want to. We asked for something new, we got it, we can deal now. As yourself this question. Do I want to see Rich Rodriguez as the greatest coach to ever coach here? I do. I think if we allow him to set in, get moving, he will not leave for anywhere else. The guy could make a fortune here and ride it out like JoePa if he stays alive and healthy. All I am saying is I am into making this team and staff feel at home here in Michigan. It's been chaotic, we all know that. But lets be civil and move forwards in a unified way.
