Juwan one of four finalists for Naismith COY
Richly Deserved. Best the other candidates not talk to him, though.
Idk. I think Mark Few talking to him is different than Mark Turgeon talking to him. And fwiw, Izzo and Howard aren't exactly golfing buddies, yet they seem to manage to go an entire game without fisticuffs breaking out. My guess is the situation in the UMD game had more to do with Turgeon being a major disappointment at UMD and likely being on the hot seat next year than anything else. How long has Turgeon been a HC? Has he ever made any COY finalist list?
It's not Juwan who doesn't like being talked to, it's Turgeon.
Juwan doesn't like guys charging at him.
Better record than Oats in a tougher conference. Gonzaga and Baylor were preseason top teams so their seasons and rankings were to be somewhat expected. Michigan was not highly ranked to begin the season so their journey wasn’t expected. To me, this is an easy decision. How John Beilein never won this award is beyond me.
If Few goes undefeated, it's his. If not, it should come down to Howard and Oats.
In other years the other candidates would be deserving. What Juwan and this staff has done with this roster is nothing short of spectacular. I am biased but if ever there was a no-brainer...this is it.
Brad Underwood just called Naismith to make sure they spelled his name right...
If Howard wins then Underwood should definitely win Co-Coy.
