Interesting that he was taken by an NL team, seeing as how he was pretty much exclusively a DH at Michigan.
They turned Schwarber into a non-liability in LF. Pretty sure the could at least do that with Jordan if necessary. But unfortunately, the DH is on the way for the NL, so it might not matter.
At Michigan, Nwogu started 51 games at DH, 49 games in left field, and 14 games in center field. So I don't think you could call that "pretty much exclusively a DH."
But yeah, he's not great as a fielder, although he does have an OK arm and his speed makes up for some of his other shortcomings in the OF.
I have to admit that I thought he was pretty much exclusively a DH at UM. But I really didn't see much baseball prior to the CWS run last year and he was the DH during that run. I wish the BTN aired more baseball.
