Joe Lunardi comments on ESPN, 2/16
Takeaways from Lunardi's appearance this morning:
1) We're currently his first team out of the tournament
2) He noted that we play Minnesota next, and twice in the next couple of weeks and he can see Minnesota playing themselves out and Michigan playing their way in. It wasn't a prediction, but mentioned it as a possibility, and I don't think he mentions it unless he thinks there's a decent chance of it happening.
I think it's an indication that winning the next two (which is a must) plus one more conference game and not choking in the conference tourney should definitely be enough to get in to the 65 considering he has us on the cusp of the 65 with our current 6-7 conference record.
Now we just have to keep rooting against our fellow travelers on the bubble, as chronicled conveniently for us by jamiemac.

I did not see his appearance, so thanks for the update.
If UM is his last team out, thats still a move in the positive direction according to his mock.
In his last update, UM was part of the second four left out.
We're going in the right direction, for sure. Thursday makes for a huge game vs Minnesota.

Last night you asked why I had UM playing in the 8/9 Big 10 game with a 9-9 mark. Let me answer why here.
I had a hard time projecting Wisco, Minny, PSU and OSU any worse than 10-8. I didn't break it down too hard core, though. Basically, I projected wins and losses based on who ought to be favored.
It wont play out that smooth, obviously. I expect 1 or 2 of those guys to join UM at 9-9, but who? And, I have zero clue on the league does to figure out tie breakers in the seeding process.
So, it was easier to just put them at 8th, the worst position a 9-9 record will put them in and try to project what work, if any, would still need to be done from that line.
