JJ McCarthy, Andrel Anthony & Donovan Edwards interview (video)

Submitted by Eyzwidopn on February 27th, 2022 at 11:07 PM

Didn't see this posted.  Great video interview with the 3 sophomores in a conversation ranging from waiting their turn; Coach Harbaugh's NFL interest; the brotherhood of Team 142; expectations for this season & the culture moving forward; etc.

This was an interview conducted by SI but the video wasn't  playing properly on their site so I'm posting from Yardbarker.

I don’t think the qb decision has been made by any stretch given the results from last year, but it sure feels like these three guys with JJ front and center have been featured a lot lately in a way not being discouraged by the program.

A LOT of love for coach Harbaugh in this interview. In case anyone was doubting. Also seems like they are all staying busy with NIL opportunities which is excellent to hear. This trio is going to be a lot of fun to watch over the next couple of years.

Quite the trio-very impressive. And I must say, OMG to Donavon as a physical specimen!!! Michigan will miss Hassan but Donavon is very likely going to carve out his own little part of history-what a talent and what a tank of a kid...I wonder what he is up to weight-wise? Great mindsets all the way around. What I love about these three is that they are clearly very coachable and they will also play better than they are coached. "Drel" seemed very pleased and excited to have Bellamy in his court.

Edwards on OSU: “when you are going to go up against them…scratch that, I got a lot of things I want to say but you just can’t say it.”
These boys get the rivalry.

So impressed with these 3, they just seem to get it. It all seems genuine too. I'm certain I didn't have anywhere near the perspective and focus at their age.
