I didn't "Get It"

I was a huge supporter of RR as I had grown tired of stale Lloyd ball run left strategy.

I thought the hiring of Hoke was a huge mistake, and he was MAC level.

I believed in the spread and speed and neglected the importance of the trenches.

I was cynical about the "Michigan Man", "The Rivalry", and the goal being to win the Big 10.

I believed the goal should be a national title run every 2-3 years.

I didn't get it.  Now I do.  Hoke's love and passion for the university has won me over.  I don't want to knight him just yet before even coaching a game, but the energy around the program is insane.  If these guys can coach half as well as they recruit, we are in great shape for years to come.  And given Mattison and Borges's track records we seem to be in good hands.

I get it now....Our opinions don't mean shit.  I was so absolutely wrong about Michigan football over the past 5 years.  Was it time for Lloyd to go...sure, but clearly the Frankenstein experiment was not the answer.

It seems the football god's may favor us now...OSU getting what they deserve (maybe, if NCAA doesnt totally puss out), Hoke poops gold, karmic justice for the past 5+ years...(RR, Appy State, the Vest).  But it seems like the cycle is turning back in our favor.

In conclusion, I have never been so wrong about something that I love so much.  Not that I had any control over the direction of the program with my opinions, but I will try to sit back and watch and enjoy how this plays out over the next 5+ years.
