HTTV Dedication

Thank you. I'm glad people now know what's going on, and figure the dedication makes more sense in that context. I know he can't stand to hear it, but I meant it. This is me every day since 2007:
Auburn fans: take a moment to recognize how fortunate we are. The number of college fanbases w/ independent coverage of the Observer's caliber can be counted on

well
I'm biased, but I'm skeptical you'd need a second hand https://t.co/r5xlPD0SrM
Hope you don't mind I changed your title to be more descriptive, since I went in thinking "Oh no, the people didn't believe me that we couldn't guarantee the books would get there before the season."
FYI they're all mailed unless I've been emailing you for your address but the mail is terrible these days so 3-day guarantees become much longer. Most probably haven't arrived yet.

Man, thank you, Seth.

Seth, would it be possible to share the dedication to those of us who didn't purchase HTTV? I heard you metion it on the podcast and I'd love to read it but I'm poor at the moment

This book is dedicated to Brian Cook.
His writing is an inspiration, his passion to inform infectious,
his intent righteous, and we are all here because we find it a little bit incredulous
that we have him to write about this stupid thing we love.
And because he absolutely can’t stand to hear it.

Thank you Seth, I appreciate that.
It was revealing that at the Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase event Bacon chose to respond to Brian with praise because he knew that would make him far more uncomfortable than a roast.
Brian, if you're reading this, let me embarrass you some more. You're an outstanding writer whose thoughts have greatly influenced how I look at sports in general and college football in particular. And, while I've never met you, you have always come across as having a good soul.
I'm sorry you're going through all this. There was a four or five year period in my life where I never thought I would be able to experience joy again. Every time I perked up, depression tapped me on the shoulder and reminded me that misery was all I deserved. I fought off a desire to kill myself every single day. But I got through it with the help of many, many kind people (and medication). I hope you find what you need to survive and thrive.
And it's worth mentioning that my Michigan fandom, the cornerstone of which is MGoBlog, is one of things that did give me some solace during those years.
Be well, Brian. There's a reason so many people are rooting for you

A great read.
And an impressive one, knowing all the work putting it together.
And an important one, knowing the emotions behind the scenes and shared.
Thank you all.

They always have been well done and full of great content, but the dedication at the front of this year's HTTV really does give it a perspective that is, as others have already pointed out, quite moving.
I thought about actually donating a sufficient amount to get a blurb, but there is nothing I could say that would add value.

I figured I'd pile on my gratitude for MGoBlog, Brian, Seth, and the entire MGoCrew. I've gone through cancer treatment twice since 2018 and obsessing about Michigan Football is my distraction from, you know, cancer. It does put things in proper perspective.
So thanks for building this unique corner of college football fandom. I've got a treatment on Friday but luckily I'll have HTTV and MGoBlog to pass the time.
Go Blue!

Did the print copies get sent out? I haven't checked my mail in weeks and Ida just flooded our entire first floor here in Philly, including the mail room.

They got sent out but the mail sucks. Printer told me the mail sorters they dismantled last year to try to stop Americans from voting were exactly what they used to use for our kinds of mailers. The comic book industry found this out when they went to mail out graphic novels meant to coincide with one of their big releases--I guess our book is very similar in size and weight to those.
