Hockey's Nagelvoort named B1G Third Star of the Week

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Changing conferences means adjusting to new things. One of these is weekly awards.

Instead of the player of the week, rookie of the week etc. the CCHA had, the B1G has chose to have one set of awards.

The 3 Stars of the Week.

Freshman goalie Zach Nagelvoort has been named the Third Star for his great performance this weekend. 52 saves and .945 save percentage.

Michigan has had at least one player in every edition of the B1G Three Stars so far. Andrew Copp (10/15) and freshman Tyler Motte (10/22) were the previous two.

The young man played like a veteran. Racine might take his job back soon, but Nagelvoort could easily be a starter at most other schools. 1.47 GAA and .947 save % against four straight ranked teams.
