The people who browse MGoBoard via the sidebar are the same people who buy a 1080p HDTV, pay Comcast the extra $20/month for HD, yet continue to watch TV in SD, because they can't remember what channel ESPN is in HD and using the "Guide" would be too much effort. Side Note - That thread deserves as much attention as possible.

Many visitors to this site arrive on the homepage and only navigate to information that can be found there. I would guess that the vast majority of visitors never register as users and have no interest in actively participating in ongoing MGoBoard discussions. It seems a little bit arrogant to suggest that these people are unintelligent just because they don't use the site the same way you do.

Those sidebar viewers won't see this thread bumped to see me call them stupid again! Sidebar Viewers = The same type of people who still pay for both the AOL Service and Cable/Broadband. Sidebar Viewers = No better than the goons discussed in this thread! They may not necessarily be intellectually stupid, but they are functionally retarded. Sidenote: If you have no interest in participating in MGOBoard Threads or Diaries, yet just want to see the OPs, that actually isn't all that bad of a reason to be a Sidebar viewer. (Users such as BlueNote, below). This comment is not really directed to them.

Until just now I was a sidebar only user...now I've discovered the truth! From here forward I will enjoy the Mgoboard in its finest form and will save time by seeing the most recent post dates/times and not have to click one with 68 replies trying to remember if last time I clicked it it had 67 or 68 replies. My bad for not finding the proper board before and relying on the side board. However, no regrets for reposting, as the post cited is stellar and I do think many people (poorly perhaps, or just out of ignorance) rely on sideboard for active threads. Go Blue!

I use the sidebar because it sorts chronologically by date posted. I keep up with the posts and generally am more interested in the post than the comments to it. It therefore makes sense for me to use the sidebar. The idea behind the Mgoboard (that I will want to view something because people are commenting on it alot or recently) doesn't really fit my personality. In fact, I might be more apt to comment on a neglected topic simply because I like the open space.
