Greg Mathews
Does anyone have any information on Greg Mathews and if he plans on playing for Michigan next year? I got the rumor from Dave Taylor's Geocities excellent updated site for Michigan football depth charts. Just wondering if anyone has heard about him transferring?

Matthews is a senior. He could only transfer to lower division school I think. I guess he could declare for the draft, but I can't even see him being drafted.

Mathews is a true senior, meaning he could transfer and sit out the 2009 season and then play one final year in 2010.
I have heard nothing about Mathews transferring other than stuff like this, where somebody just brings up the possibility of it. His stock would probably rise if he could go to another big-time school and get some playing time, but I doubt a school like USC or Oklahoma or Florida or something would be looking for a one-year rental possession receiver (although Mathews did impress me with his speed last year). I think he'll stay at Michigan.

The rumor going around after the season was that he was looking at Florida St. I just don't see him transferring at this point in his collegiate career. It makes very little sense.

I agree that it makes little sense. I didn't mean to start a stupid rumor, just wanted to see if anyone had heard of anything similar.

My "sources" say that he was thinking about transfering to Florida State (I know somebody already said this but I'm just trying to add some verification) but decided over break to stick it out at Michigan. Take that for whatever it is worth.
I also started hearing rumors about Stonum transfering around the weekend of the Minnesota game, but those have dried up.

there were some rumors going around but I think they've been quashed.
