Going to Michigan UCONN?

Submitted by ctmaizenblue on
Is anyone else headed out to Michigan vs. UCONN in Storrs this weekend? I managed to pick up tickets and was wondering what section the Michigan Alumni seats were given in the pavilion.

Storrs is in the middle of nowhere... If you're looking for stuff to do, I think you'd have a little more luck in Hartford (or New Haven, if you don't mind driving - the area around Yale is a lot like Ann Arbor.)

while i'm not going out to UConn this weekend, it was a thought i had during football season (when I went to an away game), that it would be cool to have a link for what to do in various locales where UM plays (ie. good places to eat, drink, etc) we could just start with the Big Ten, then move outward (Pasadena, etc). There are enough alums spread around the country that I think it could turn into a really cool thing if done correctly.

I got my tickets through the AAUM Fairfield County chapter, and we will be in section 12. Dunno if there are other sections included. I'll be the guy with brown hair wearing a blue Michigan shirt.

Stop by the Dairy Bar. It's worth it. It is delicious and you can watch it be made through window walls. There really isn't much else to do in Storrs. I'm not saying it's a college without a town... but I'm not really saying it isn't either.

Thanks for the tips. Definitely gonna try to make it to that pre-game reception. I've been to New Haven (a customer's 20 minutes away and I've got a friend at Yale), it's a nice town. I've been meaning to check out Hartford, and Google says it's only a 30 minute drive.
