Gameday Parking Problem

Recently my family and friends who have been tailgating together for years found out that the spot we have been parking in for the last 13 years (The Buffalo Lot, right behind the North Scoreboard) is no longer an option because the lot will be used for Suite Season Ticket Holders parking only. The gameday Parking Department was absolutely no help, and pretty much just gave us a big middle finger.

 

"Just use the golf course..."

 

Well the real issue is that my 93-year old grandmother attends every home game. She has been featured on Michigan DVD's and documentarys as "Grandma of the Golf Course". She has not missed a home game since the early 70's. She has been riding around in her motorized scooter during tailgates and to and from our tailgate to her seat for the past 13 years. When she needed to use the scooter, thats when we moved away from the golf course. When we brought up this issue with the Parking Department (What are we suppose to do?) the only handicap parking they have available is through the Victors Club which my grandmother does not have enough points to qualify for.

 

So am I asking the MGoCommunity here for the best feedback and the best options out there for gameday parking and tailgating. Any suggestions or info you guys got I'd appreciate.
