Fridays Hockey Game

Submitted by mattbern on
So last night our hockey team played a pretty solid game against Nebraska-Omaha. I was really hoping for 10 goals but i guess i could settle for the 8 we got. I just had two things to comment on: 1. did louie have some sort of target on his back? he was getting wrecked all game. sometimes cleanly but a couple of the hits were kind of questionable. I also noticed at the end of the game he had some kind of argument during the handshake line. 2. what happened to Hogan? did we pull him because we had a large lead or did he get kicked out of the game for some reason? anybody know?

things I noticed -UNO's Hudson is a goon -Tristin continues to try REEEALLY hard to be a goon by taking 2 or 3 ridiculous penalties a game -i think we would've gotten 10 if not for 2 things: Tristin effectively killing our 5 minute PP with a dumb penalty and us putting Billy in net -apparently the majority of UNO's players are skinheads

I refuse to ever do the "ref you suck" chant after Tristin is penalized because whenever they call a penalty on him I always have that "yeah he definaely deserved that one" feeling.

I refuse to do the "ref you suck" chant because 95% of the times the refs are correct. Also, I twice did a "refs you rule" chant, when UNO scored their first goal that was blown dead before the puck went in, and when, minutes later, the deep referee blew a play dead when Hogan had no control of the puck whatsoever. bluetell, you're right about Tristin. I was remarking to my roommate that I hoped Red had given Tristin quite the talking-to about the spate of dumb penalties he had been taking when lo and behold, not ten second later, Tristin was being escorted to the box for a dumb penalty, his first of three on the game, not one of them a "good" penalty.

The "ref you suck" chant is really overdone now. I remember it starting to get out of control about three years ago. I'd say I only do it probably nine times out of ten. edit: holy crap, I am braindead today. I meant one time out of ten, leaving original content in though
